Standing With Julie

After ten years of battling multiple myeloma, Julie Carter is preparing for another stem cell transplant.

This campaign is about helping Julie enter this next chapter with the practical support she needs for treatment, temporary lodging, travel, recovery, and the unexpected costs that come with a transplant journey.

Chapter One · Meet Julie

Her Story Begins With Who She Is

My name is Linda, and I am Julie Carter's mother. I am creating this campaign for my daughter as she prepares for another stem cell transplant following the relapse of her multiple myeloma.

Julie was first diagnosed in July 2015. Since then, she has faced extensive treatment, a previous stem cell transplant, periods of recovery, setbacks, and now another major chapter in her fight.

The stem cell transplant is not a single procedure—it is a journey.

Julie will need to stay near the transplant center for several weeks, attend frequent appointments, travel regularly for care, and recover in a carefully managed environment.

Our goal is simple: help Julie focus on treatment, recovery and hope without carrying the full financial burden alone.

The Reality Behind the Smile

There have been long appointments, difficult treatments, hospital stays and days when simply getting through the day was an accomplishment.

These images are part of Julie's story, but they do not define her. They show the reality of what this fight has required—and why this next transplant deserves support before the financial pressure becomes another burden to carry.

"Some days are harder than others. But every day is worth fighting for."

The campaign intentionally uses treatment photos sparingly, so people connect with Julie as a person first and understand the medical reality second.
